Adventures - Summer and Spring
The summer proves to be surprisingly cool for a desert (Elevation 7,000 feet). Daytime
temperatures rarely exceed 85 degrees and the dry climate makes Taos the ideal location for a summer
destination.
The beauty of the Southwest is prominent in the adobe buildings and sensational sunsets. Explore
the 1,000 year old Taos Pueblo, the longest continually inhabited structure in the United States.
Taos is also home to over 80 art galleries and endless shopping.
If outdoor adventure is your passion, nothing is more exhilarating than river rafting down the
Rio Grande Gorge. Golf at one of New Mexico’s top rated golf courses at the Taos Country Club.
Horseback riding in the high dessert is another great way to experience New Mexico’s beautiful
landscapes. Hike among the aspens and pines of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range for a bird’s eye
view of the region.
If a massage and mud wrap is more your style, enjoy one of the many area spas. Rejuvenation and
relaxation is the key to a refreshing vacation.
